You’re a doer, an innovator, a game-changer with unique passions and big dreams. That’s awesome...except when the thought of achieving your goals feels totally overwhelming. But no worries -- you’ve got this. No matter how daunting your dreams feel, nothing is too big to achieve. Use these simple tips to stay calm, confident, and organized as you prepare to make your dreams a reality.
Don’t Listen To Negative People
Often when positive people have big dreams, others will try to pull them down. They might warn you and say you’re wasting your time or there won’t be any jobs. The same old story, really. People have been holding themselves back because they don’t believe in themselves. Don’t to listen to them! If you feel in your heart your dream is possible and you want to achieve it – then you CAN have it. Remember, the universe has limitless abundance available for all. It will always deliver to those who believe in their dream so much they feel it before it physically exists. This is a fundamental principal in Law of Attraction. Keep your dream alive and don’t listen to those who think it can’t be done. These are the people you want to be listening to
Quiet your mind. Taking time to just be still and allow yourself to relax may help you to feel inspired and capable of taking on challenges. Try taking at least 15 minutes to yourself each day to just be still, such as by meditating, practicing yoga, or deep breathing.
For example, you could get up 15 minutes before the rest of your household and sit quietly in your living room doing deep breathing. Or, you could find 15 minutes of time to yourself in the afternoon or evening for a meditation practice.
Stop comparing yourself to others
“Winners focus on winning, losers focus on winners”
If you’re analyzing and reviewing your dream, and you feel you’re not making much progress, that’s fine. Everyone does that. What you need to understand is that you must not ever compare yourself to anyone else. When you compare yourself to others you are insulting your uniqueness.
Just because someone is moving faster than you right now doesn’t make your effort and success smaller. You are running your own race. Who you run against doesn’t matter. What matters is that you keep a sharp mindset, focus on your goal, and give the best you’ve got.
In reality, you’re not competing with anyone else but yourself. Remember, a flower doesn’t think of competing with other flowers, it just blooms.
Dream Big
Nothing is more stressful than that “so, where do you see yourself in five years” conversation, especially if you aren’t quite sure what path you want to pursue. Thinking about the future can be intimidating, but don’t limit yourself to what seems most practical or conventional. You have so much potential and the possibilities for you are endless. Think outside of the box and dream big! Your future is yours to create.
Make yourself fly. One thing you can try to do when you're lucid dreaming is to fly. You may not be able to fly at first, but you can build yourself up to get there. You can tell yourself, "Okay, now I'm going to fly," to make yourself get into the mindset of being ready to fly. You can start hopping around, jumping up and down, and moving your body in an upwards motion before you fully fly. Once you're more comfortable doing this, you'll be able to start hovering above the ground until you're flying.
As you're flying, don't be down on yourself or doubt what is possible. If you're filled with doubt, then you won't be able to truly fly. If you find yourself lowering, try taking a big hop or a jump and then take off again
Don’t Be Discouraged By Small Setbacks
You can make the most detailed plan for your future, but there’s no telling what curveballs might be thrown your way. Whether it’s a sluggish day at practice or a rejection from an opportunity you were seeking, don’t let a little disappointment throw you off course. These setbacks can be discouraging in the moment, but they’re also great opportunities to continue learning and growing. Sometimes a step away from your desired path can end up being a step in the right direction.
Make Every Step Fun
So many of us have been taught that with enough hard work anything is possible. But this idea leaves out something very important: the people who truly reach their dreams, especially in the biggest ways, have fun along the way. If you do what feels good then you will feel happier. When you feel happier, you are more inspired. Find what makes you feel good and focus on it, because feeling happy and inspired every step of the way is key. As you let go of the old belief that success has to be hard, you see life becomes happier and easier. You won’t need will power because you are driven with happy inspiration and you will be excited to get the next step of your work done! As you make fun and happiness a priority, you will notice wonderful shifts, and creating your dreams in very big ways will become easier than you were ever led to believe.
